How To Flip Video Image

I have installed a reverse camera on the front of my truck to aid in "nose in" parking.  Problem is the camera (as stated) is a backup camera and as such has the image flipped (or mirrored).  I thought when I installed it that my headunit would allow me to make the required orientation adjustment but no such luck.

So the question is simple...does a device exist that I can install in the video line which will flip the video before it gets to the headunit? 

While I am at it, it seems as though I am getting som interferance in my video feed from the rear camera.  This camera is installed on a F350 crew cab with a full 8 foot bed so there is quite a bit of wire between the camera and the headunit.  I think the wire I used was not optimal for the job.  Can anyone suggest a good wire to use for this and where one might get said wire.

Hello, Im going to assume it is a aftermarket back up camera and you have a dvd tv headunit.

Most aftermarket backup cameras have a power a ground and a mirror wire on the main harness, its often green. Usually must be hooked to ground or power, not that i would expierment.  Or you simply have the camera upside down.   If you could respond with the exact model number of the camera i can you tell you for sure.

No it is not an aftermarket camera.  The camera is a Ford OEM camera which was factory installed in the Ford tailgate emblem of 2009 and 2010 F150 trucks.  My truck is a 2008 Super duty (F350) and as mentioned in the OP I have mounted the camera (and emblem) on the front in place of the grill emblem on my truck.  I am trying to find a way to flip the image (as opposed to simply changing cameras) because of the clean factory look this camera/housing provides.  As to the headunit, it is a Ford factory navigation system out of a 2010 Super Duty truck.  I changed the head unit (from the factory installed nav unit) to this newer model due to the far superior funtionality (ie. voice control) and interface provided by these newer units.

I do not understand your comment about having the camera upside down.  Firstly do to the mounting of this camera that would not be possible...but even if it were, would that simply result in an image that was upside down.  My problem is not that the top of the image is on the bottom of the display...the problem is that the image is mirrored (left on the right and right on the left) which is the way reverse cameras are supposed to work.  However this behavior is undesirable when the camera is mounted for front viewing.

Well, I finally found a device to do what I needed (flip the camera image).  In addition this device allows me to overlay text on the image so that I can quickly and easily know which camer I am viewing.

I thought I would share the device here in case anyone else hapens by this thread looking for a similar solution.

Yes it can mirror any of the four inputs.  Further it can flip the image side to side or top to bottom.  The latter would be helpful if it was necessary to install a camera upside down.
