My client has damaged his AVIC-N2. It is in an RV and looks like someone lost balance and fell against it. The screen which previously would not slide or tilt under power now has the backing plate bent and plastic covers broken. I was able to remove, disassemble the unit and reconnect the ribbon cable which had pulled loose to make it work again. They now want me to replace the bent and broken parts. Considering the new damage along with the previous inoperable screen slide/tilt, I have decided it may be time to move on with a replacement unit. My question now: I found a used AVIC-N3 head unit only and need to know if the remote units will interchange between the 2 head units?

What remote units are you talking about?

The main hideaway unit is my concern. I found several inexpensive display units that don't include any hideaways. It also currently has an XM radio tuner. Looking at the installation manuals, the XM radio tuner is the same number. The manual doesn't have the hideaway model number. The TV interface is different but I don't need that. I only need the FM radio and back up camera to work. They don't use the navigation.
