I ordered a Pyle universal gps touchscreen compatible ( model plnvb26). It has two video outputs, RGB & composite. The RGB has a sync signal, is this signal for video display or is it for the touch screen? My Pyle dvd display (plts79bt) is a touchscreen and has a composite video rear input with matching audio in, but no RGB input. I would like to know if it is possible to mate the two with touch screen? The dvd main menu does have a gps icon(owners manual says optional).

I'm not familiar with either of those products, but typically the RGB signal has a sync signal with it. This is commonly referred to as RGBS. More then likely the two video outputs are video only, no touch screen capability. The two different touch screens will not interact with each other.

Thanks for the reply. The DVD is the only one with a screen. The gps is a universal system that is listed touchscreen compatible, but I am unfamiliar with that technology. The manual says to make a selection, tap the screen or use the remote. My guess would be if the head unit has a touch screen and the gps is also, then the A/V channel is bi-directional. Can anyone confirm this?

I found out the Pyle GPS only works touchscreen with the older Pyle DVD units as the it must be able to accept the 20 pin connector that carries all signals. It is most likely a RS-232 serial port connection (or USB). I will look into identifying the pins and work on an interface to the head unit.

Maybe try mp3car.com. It's right up their alley.
