I came on here earlier requesting the location of the speed sensor wire for my unit.. I have a 2000 S430 that came with Comand 2.5 and I upgraded to a 2003 widescreen Comand 2.0.. I thought I needed the VSS even though everyone said it goes thru the CANBUS.. Well I went to my buddies junk yard and checked an 03 car and sure enough the only wires going into the unit are D2B (fiber optics) wakeup and CANBUS HI AND LOW.. my question is.. how can I get my CANBUS to show the speed signal? On the 2.5 there are two speed signal wires, but this one obviously goes thru CANBUS.. there is a guy in Sweeden who wants almost $300 for a Speed signal converter, and it looks to have four wires.. power, ground, canbus hi and low. I am not sure how it fixes this and I would pay the money, I probably will but I didn't want to wait a month for it to come.. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it!
