First  I want to say this looks like a great site and I have read lots of the posts regarding this subject.  Thanks in advance for your input.

I am planning to purchase something from a 10.4 to 13.3 LCD monitor and install in my Suburban.  It does not have a sun roof and it does not have middle dome lights.

I have heard that putting anything bigger than a 10.4 is a bit too big in this vehicle due to the closeness of the monitor to the second row seats.   The mount would be a couple inches in front  of the AC controls that are located in the center.   Is this BS?   Generally bigger is better ?

In terms of support, given this large screen ( I am leaning towards Power Acoustic since it has a good bang for the buck ),  I have read that people put either straps or a sheet of metal above the headliner.   Question is, how long till the headliner sags?   Shouldn't this support piece be mounted or glued to the roof, which is why some use wood?     and related, is there a support bean just in front of the AC controls?

If I do have to drop the headliner, after removing the door beam panels ( B panels? )  does it just drop on the sides ?   I did see the push screws in the back of the panel.  ( It looks like there are several panels in the 02 burban.  This one ends just behend the second row and another starts to the back. )

I appreciate all comments.  Thanks again,  SuperDaveTX

For others that have installed flip down monitors in a Sub, Tahoe, etc...

Did you install the monitor in place of the AC controls, just behind, or somewhere else?

Still considering my options... and like more opinions.

Thanks, Dave
