I'm toying with the idea of putting a motorized screen in my dashboard, one that would motorize itself out of the dash and fold down, or maybe one that would just rise out of a console I built, etc. The reason for havinf it would be a CD/ROM GPS device, one of those mapping gadgets. A guy I work with in Germany has one in his car, only it's a fixed screen and way too expensive.
Do you have any idea where I could go to get started on a project like that?? TIA for any help you can give me.

Why not do it the easy way and buy an indash monitor(alpine, kenwood, panasonic)? It would be alot cheaper and a lot less headaches.
