Gentex Mirror Compass Direction

I just acuqired a Gentex Mirror with compass.  GNTX-313.  This is a OEM model from a Mazda (2003-2004).  The part compass that detects direction is not attached to the mirror but in a loose circuit board connected by a wire to the mirror.  I have no idea the proper way to to face the thing for proper operation.  I attched a picture of the board.    The board has two soldered on modules on it with the following printed on it

Well it depends on which way you're parked! It should make no difference, the compass shold work base don magnetic presence in relation to the poles. Just mount it anywhere, and usually calibrate by driving in 3 tight circles.

After I finally get the compass to calibrate the North and South work properly but the East and West are reveresed.   I have set the zone setting properly.

yep, upside down... needs to be rightside up and as level as possible, but rotation doesn't matter... i was unclear on that first post.
