Im not quite sure on how to explain my problem, but ill go for gold anyway.

I am in Australia, I recently purchased a Alpine IVA-D901 as stated above the unit is NTSC.

I just purchased a Universal TV Tuner (PAL is the Australian signal) and tried plugging it in. All i got was black and white very distored images.

I tried to hook up my Australian XBOX (PAL) to the D901 and it would give me the same type of picture (black and white very distored images) I then changed the region settings of the XBOX to NTSC and the picture came out beautifully. Which leads me to my question.

I cant seen to find any PAL/NTSC tv tuner boxes for my in-car system. Does anyone know if theres any sort of gadget out there that I can use with my current tv tuner so the picture will come out clear with colour? Like some sort of NTSC+PAL adapter or decoder I can use?

I just hope i didnt waste $400AUD on this TV Tuner and have it be of no use to me. If anyone can make any sense from my post could you please reply. It would be greatly appreciated. :)

Here's a page full of options. Just find one that is in your price range and then look for this through www.google.ca and find a dealer near you to sell you one. They are very common and are priced cheap:
