Our shop installed a MD dual headrest and DVD into a 04 suburban a while back, anyhow the boss had me drive 3hrs to the dealership yesterday to swap out the DVD. Little did I know that this was the 4th unit that had been replaced! When I fired up the original unit I got a no signal error on the monitors. now doing what I was told to I swaped the unit and it fired right up. Now my question is : Could the 2 monitors be blowing the video ckt up? I don't know much about these setups because I havn't been given the time or the means to mess with them on a bench. Anyone feel like giving automotive theater 101??
Any Ideas will be appreciated!

hmmmm..i to have the md headrests but not the md dvd player...the way i understand it...

each monitor has a 13 pin connecter..both of those plug into the power harness wich expands into-2 vidoe out-2 audio outs..it also houses a power and ground wire in the junction box(before it splits into various cables and whatnot)...then the video, audio outs go to the video source(dvd player)

if like you said that the dvd player keeps messin up(4 times)..then i would look into the monitors...from what i understand m+d is a very reputible company(and has great customer service as well).. check all the obvious such as grounds, power, rca's ect...      sorry thats all i got
