I have been asking lots of people and searching internet high and low, hopefully the experts here can help me out.  I am looking to add a video system to the wife's 04 Sienna since the factory wanted over a grand for a tiny screen we oredered it without.  Now to my question can you use an LCD TV as a mobile monitor?   I could have gotten a great deal on a Sharp AQUOS LC-TV, but didn't know if this would work.  I emailed Sharp and they told me that it couldn't be used for this application.  My thought was to build a motorized lifter and have it mount right behind the center counsel and raise from the floor.

Looking for any thoughts and suggestions on monitors.  Also does anyone make a good DVD changer?

Thanks much.

buy a 12volt tv...prob w/ a built in vcr or dvd player..bad cause there fairly bigg..though not sure seeing as i havnt seen one..but compared to a flip down???..if you cant find 1 you could get a regular tv with a power inverter...

you could also just buy a roof flip down monitor and a dvd player for round 350..but wouldnt no how to hook it up to the factory stuff..

or get like a "personel" dvd player..comes anywhere from 5.6" to 9" screens??..you can remove it when finished in the car and bring it in the house, on a plane, ect....prob mount it on the top of the center counsel..use velcro to hold it in place...also a easy ciggeret lighter plug in..dont look to bad either..kids arent that picky:)

godd dan it

Ive seen people buy those mobile tv/dvd players and install them into cars. I think that would be a good idea to do. They arent too much now a days.
