I have a Pioneer AVX-P7000CD along with a AVM-P9000R, I just recently purchased them off EBay in two separate auctions.  I have used a 12V battery charger to test the equipment which works to test most of my car audio equipment safely.  The problem is that the LCD unit nor the amp unit seem to turn on, I am using the basic hot and ground wires but feel I am missing something for power.  Each unit is thought to have all appropriate cables and wires necessary for installation but again I am not positive.  Please offer any help for installing, powering up, or wiring diagrams in general for these units.  Thanks for any help.

Are you hooking them up together when testing, the 7000 WILL NOT power up unless conected to the outboard processor, in your case the 9000R. Then you just hook up all your yellow and reds to the positive side of the charger and all the blacks to the negative side and you should be good to go.

I have the IP-Bus cable hooked up into the correct plugs and I have tried both options i.e., input, output.  I also have plugged in the main cable for the screen and brain connection.  I am having a hard time determining if I need to use the wires on the AVX to power up the unit, or just the ones coming from the AVM?  Also, the AVM I recieved has modified wires, from what I've come up with the seafoam green wire the parking brake wire is bundled into my ground wires for the AVM and the combinations of all the wires are capped with a prong, do I need to cut that to try a fresh connection?
