I posted earlier, but it came out all jibberish.  I guess an admin deleted which is good.  I couldn't even read it and I knew what it was supposed to say.  LOL

Anyway, I'm in the process of designing an audio/video system for my truck.  I have a Dodge RAM 1500 QuadCab.  The first phase of my install is going to be video.  Unfortunately I've never played with mobile video before.  I've been searching the forum, and I can't find a definite answer to what I'm looking for.

I really want to get started on the video portion, because that's going to be the first phase of my install.

I see some video screens come with an actual headphone jacke, while I see others with an IR headphone jack.  I want to have a monitor in each headres, as well as one in the passenger sun visor.  I want my passengers to use wireless headphones and I want to play through the stereo as well if I choose to.

Here's my question, I would imagine there is a component that I can hook the DVD player to, then send the video signal to each monitor from this component.  Much like a power distribution block, only for video instead of power.  I would also imagine there is a component I can hook the audio to from teh DVD and send the signal to the headphones.  If there is such a component, then buying a screen with an IR jack for the headphones sounds pointless.  What are these components called, assuming they do exist?  It seems like an easy enough question, but believe it or not I can't find the answer in the forums.  Maybe I'm not searching for the correct terms.

I would also like to install a PS2, but only if one passenger can play while the other continues to watch movies.

Any and all help is appreciated.  I used to be a bit of an audiophile back in the day, but video is all new to me.

Thanks!

I went to my two big chain electronic stores today, and neither one of them could explain to me how to hook it up.  All they're used to is taking stuff out of a box and installing it.

So if anyone can help I sure would appreciate it.

Can someone tell me if this is what I'm looking for?  Would this work?  Is there a better option?

This for wireless headphones  http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=205-645

This for my video to multiple monitors.  http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=205-120  I'm not likeing the "wired" remote control on this, but it may work.

I think the combination of both of those will allow one passenger to play PS2 while another watches a movie.
