no sound from system?

new to the site.. but am in need of some help..

im currently working on a new install on a 98 civic coupe.. heres what i got

alpine cva-1005 in dash monitor

alpine dva-5205 dvd/cd player

alpine era-g320 dsp

alpine 12 disc

component mb quartz all the way around

2 10" jl audio w3v2 subwoofers

and all powered by an alpine mrd-f752 amp

now my problem is i have everything up and running but i get no sound, and the dsp will not turn on.. i checked all the connections and wiring.. but i cant figure it out.. when i turn the amp on i get a bump noise from the speakers and subs and thats it..

in short.. cds and dvds play.. but no sound

anybody??? have any ideas

i rewired a few things and got the dsp to come on, but then the dvd player wouldnt work...

either way still no sound.. but i need to get this car back together

any help would be appreciated

Well you say cd and dvd's no sound, what about fm/am? Also if the dsp module isn't turning on then there is the problem. All audio goes through this and if this is wired wrong or if the unit is bad then that is where you need to start/concentrate.

alright yeah thats what i had thought.. so i started with the wiring of that first.. but then after the dvd player wouldnt turn on... also am/fm no sound either.. the only thing i get is a slight humming noise from the speakers..

ok guys i really need help now..

i rewired everything from the start. and now nothing will turn on.. i checked with a volt meter at all the wiring harnesses and they are all getting power.. just nothing will turn on with the exception of the amp..

but the only reason that will turn on is because my remote wire is wired to a toggle switch..

somebody here has to be able to help me out..
