I was wondering does the Kenwood KNA-DV2100 have to have teh microphone hooked up to work? I'm sure it has to have the GPS antenna hooked up but what about the mic? And how do I go about connecting it to my speedometer if I have a mechnical speedometer vs an electronic one?

Are you meaning the Voice 'Response' speaker or the voice activation piece? If it is the voice activation piece then no you don't have to have that hooked up. If your car is not equipped with an electronic speed sensor then you will not be able to hook up the speed sensor which will disallow you from having turn by turn capability...
