I have a 05 ford excursion which came with the factory dvd system.  I have installed a pioneer avic n1 and have dumped the video from the pioneer to the dvd system via the aux input.  I have also patched 12+ and gnd to have the factory dvd play to the rear monitor and audio via the factory wireless headphones.

Now I am wanting to find the audio output from the dvd unit to input into the pioneer unit   Also would like to know if possible to pull a video signal to input into the pioneer for front viewing of the rear dvd system?

Any and all help appreciated!

I don't know if you have solved your problem yet but I am in the process of attempting the same result. I replaced head unit with Kenwood DDX8017 and am trying to play video output from kenwood to factory dvd system and play video from factory dvd to kenwood. I am afraid that the harness only contains proprietary audio signals from the factory dvd to the head unit. I have sent requests to both PAC and PIE to see if one of their aux input devices may be able to pull out the audio but as you might know these are designed to get audio in.
I was able to find the pinouts of the FORD20 connector that holds the signals we need.
You can find it here:

Four of the wires are proprietary audio and control signals. There are also connection for a CD changer. I am going to test the CD changer signals for audio from the factory DVD. I am also going to test the MONO signals and see by chance if the video is coming over that. Wishful thinking. If I have success findin I will let you know.
How did you supply power to the rear dvd? did you use ASYSON in the harness or use a direct line?
Here are the pinouts and directions for steering wheel and rear controls.
Ford20: Pin# 15 or 14, Lt. blu/red or yel.
Ford-Dual: Vehicles with both steering wheel and rear controls. 2 separate interfaces are required If both front and rear controls need to be used together.
Front steering wheel = Version 3: Ford20, connect pin#15 or 14, Lt.blu/red to white wire of SWI-X.
Rear center console = Version 6: Ford20, Connect pin# 5 to 12 volts accessory. This supplies power to the rear controls. Connect pin# 6 to orange wire of SWI-X.
