VSS/Brake for 99-03 Ford F350

Hey All-

Ive been reading around this board and there's alot of great information to be had, as well as some great contributors here.  Thanks for all your input and help so far!

I'm installing a Pioneer AVIC-N2 in an 00 Ford F350 (7.3L Powerstroke 6 speed manual) starting tomorrow and wondered about the wires that spliced into the speed sensor, reverse gear, and parking brake.  Maybe someone has done this to a similar vehicle.  Any Superduty Ford between 99 and 03 should pretty much be identical.  Just want to hit the right wires and not bugger anything up.

A question I had about the unit.  I'm not wanting to bypass the DVD, don't worry :) .  My quesiton is this.  I am hooking up the RCA outs to an external LCD.  When I am driving and playing a DVD to the external LCD, is the DVD sound coming through the stereo system?  Or does that sound get routed to the LCD only?  I couldn't quite figure that out in the owners manual.

• Reverse light wire is a BLACK/ PINK wire at the relay box under the hood next to the under hood fuse box.
• The speed sense wire is a GRAY/BLACK wire in the PCM which is located on the driver side of the firewall under the hood.
• Parking brake wire can usually be found at the base of the parking brake

It will be routed through the stereo system.

I did the installation on Tuesday, took several hours, but I went slowly to do everything right tht first time.  I installed the AVIC-N2, the XM box, and the Voice Command package.  All went great!  I tested it out yesterday on a short trip and everything seems to be working great.  The navigation is perfect, the XM works wonderfully, and Star Wars sounds really cool in surround in my truck.  Now I just have to get all my presets for everything in and dive into the software.

Happy for you that it worked out! I am gonna be installing mine in my Expedition next week. Even took the day off so I could do it without rushing for time and also have all day to play around with it hehe.
