Recently had the D1 installed with Nav Traffic, rear video and steering wheel controls on my SSR.  Looks great.

However, the unit does not have any rear channel control to the speakers behind the seats.

Also, intermittant annoyance from message screen - "XM updating.  Please wait."  Seems to go away if I turn the engine off and back on again.

Help - the installers, Sound Advice, has no clue.

By rear channel control, do you mean no sound?  Or some other adjustments don't work?  The updating problem went away when I put new software in mine.  Make sure and register your unit online or call them to make sure you have the newest version.

No sound whatsoever.  Moving the fade control to rear silences the system

Sounds like an installation error.  Make sure they wired up the rear speakers.  Or, if they had to use an adaptor, that could be defective too

The "XM Updating" might be a result of not being on ver 1.2 from what I read on another forum.
