I've had the avic-9dvd with a pioneer w6210 touchscreen monitor installed in my car since summer. Last month i hit a deer with my car and my car was at a friend's bodyshop with the battery disconnected for several weeks. While the car was still down there, i plugged the battery to show my friend my nav and dvd. I got the message you get you first install the nav system "installing software, do not turn off", well i wait till its finished and then it is working fine. I then unplugged the battery again for a couple more weeks until today when i got my car back. My monitor comes on, i can hear the avic unit working but i have nothing on the display. I checked that it was on the right input, i resetted the monitor from the display hide away unit and resetted the avic unit also. But nothing comes on my screen. I was wondering if anybody knew what i should do. Also i thought of something. What would happen if my friend started the car and shut the car off before the installing message was on the screen ? Could that be it ? If so, how long do i need to leave the unit unplugged so it will install the software again ?

Thanks
