Just wanted to say thanks for the previous posts on this forum in regards to the D1 bypass, and the wire color charts that were available.  I installed it in a 2005 Nissan Frontier King Cab Nismo.  A few notes on my install:

1.  To remove the dash around the radio, I opened the lower glove box, and pulled at the corner of the dash bezel near the dual cigarette lighter plugs.

2.  I had the factory in dash 6-cd radio with speed senseative volume.  On the back of the radio was a small 3 wire plug, and in that plug was a light blue with with silver dots, and that wire was the speed sense wire I needed for the AVIC.

3.  I placed the GPS antenna on top of the dash right by the windshield in between the defrost vents, and I get excellent signal.

4.  The bypass for the AVIC-D1 listed on this site (the one where you add an additional wire to the harness, and then ground it) works perfect.

So far im am pleased with the functions of the AVIC, except I wish there was a clock on the cd page.  My unit is still showing the nav warning, but from what I have read, it goes away after a while.  Other wise all functions are available durring driving.

nope, never goes away.
everytime you press the map button it comes up once, then stays away until you turn off the car.
