eclipse avn 5495

i am having a problem with me eclipse 5495, when i start the car up sometimes the eclipse unit does not come on and i get a blank screen, sometimes the unit comes on but i do not get any audio. what might my problem be

Unhook the radio for 10 minutes or so, then when you reconnect it you must leave it powered up for about 45 minutes (if you have a benchtop power supply that will work best).  There is an internal battery that needs to be charged, their first release of this model didn't get fully charged at the factory.  This should fix the problem, if not return it to where you got it for a replacement, assuming you got it from an authorized Eclipse dealer they should swap it with no problem.  If they give you trouble have them contact Eclipse Tech.
