I want to install an Eclipse BEC 105 back up camera on my Pioneer AVIC D2. Does anybody knows what wires or aire colors for power and video output? Can I supply 12 volt to the camera? Thank You

I've done this before, but I can't remember what the wire colors are in the plug.  There are four wires in the plug, two are Power and Ground, then the other two are Video and Video Shield.  I think they are pretty straight forward.  Red = power, Black = ground, Yellow = Video, White = video shied.  Like I said, I don't know for sure if these are the correct colors.

Hi,

I'm pretty sure the Eclipse camera operates off of 6 volts, supplied by the head unit connected to it.  Not sure if it would be too happy with 12-14 volts for power though.  I do have the color codes for the Eclipse piece at work,  I'll try and post tomorrow.

wiring for BEC-105

Yellow  Video Signal

Red       Camera V+ (6 V)

White     Video Gnd

Black      Power Gnd

I also measured voltage at red wire to ground with camera connected ~6.2 V

hope this helps

I checked the wire colors and confirmed they are as stated by doibuy and Ween. Thank you for all the replies.

I just installed the back up camera today and it works perfect. A little bit of braket fabrication, cutting the right size hole for the camera and running the cable. By the way, it was installed on a brand spankin new 06 Honda Odyssey.
