Alright I am trying to put in a used avn unit I just got back from repair shop. After repairs it worked at their shop. I have the car here to install it. Now the problem previuos shop did removal and partial install, they damaged the brain and the main (yellow plug) cable. My question is this can this unit still operate just as a dvd player and head for the stereo? Next question I have this beast wired already (yellow) constant is constant 12v , red wire is switched off of accessory and a body ground should the display still open even with the hideaway brain disconnected? If so anything I should try before sending it back in? Any ideas at all would be great I feel like a moron with this, I have never had this many problems with these.
