I have installed two 7" headrest monitors (AXV-070-HRB and HLB) with an FM modulator (ANT-109) in a 2005 Nissan Murano.  During the testing phase, I noticed that the infrared lights for headphones came on, but the green lights for FM modulation did not.  I tested the wires and there was no 12 volts on the FM modulator side.  I tapped into the 12 volts for the infrared lights and ran that over to the FM modulation side.  The green lights came on, but still no sound.  Lastly, I replaced the TV just to see if that was the problem, but still didn't work.

Any suggestions as to what my problem might be?  I would hate to replace the main harness as it was a pain in the a#$ running the wires in the leather seats.

Thanks in advance.

You should try swapping the headrests first. Each headrest has the wiring in it for the FM board. It may be just the cable that runs from the headrest to the main cable. Depending on what version of the system you have, make sure that the ANT -109 is plugged into the plugs for the correct headrest. The passenger screen is the main one and is labeled video 1. You may have plugged the FM mod into video 2 which is designed to be controlled by the driver's side screen. The screens are labeled when new. The FM mod. board should be in the pass screen and on the outboard side of the headrest.

I have the audio out from the DVD player running to the audio in on the ANT-109 FM Modulator.  How do I include the FM modulator on the actual headrest ?  In addition, the modulator on the headrest is not switching between the various stations (88.9, 91.7, etc.) when I hit the black button.  I have tried another passenger monitor and it did the same thing.

Any suggestions?????

the myron and davis stuff has been having some problems, usually it is with the IR sensors. being the passanger monitor is the only on that will pick up a signal. their units usually sould be pretty staight foward. the unit should have 2 din cables desiged for 2 FM mods..who know why. but try using the other cable because i think only one of them works..it is really stupid

The AXV070 series monitors are an older series monitor and have no known issues with dual channel infrared transmitters.

The the OP, you need to plug your ANT-109 to the 2 plugs that are on your APH71 or APH72 harness. There is a drivers (video 2) and passenger (video 1) plug for the FM modulators. Please ensure you have it plugged to the correct ones. The monitors also need to be plugged into the correct plugs from the harness or your operation will not be normal. Once you plug in your FM modulator, you will have a RED LED illuminate to show that it is installed and powered. If you do not have this, there may be something wrong with the harness or FM modulator. The GREEN LEDs on the side of the monitor only illuminate when the FM modulator is turned on to the selected frequency. Once a frequency is selected, the LED on the FM modulator will turn GREEN. On the FM modulator plugs, your larger plug contains the audio signal and power. The smaller plug is for the monitor control button and lights.
