The original factory radio displayed the artist and song on most FM stations.

I haven't been able to figure out how to do it on the AVIC-N3

I don't have XM or ipod, just regular over the air FM stations.

Can't seem to find info in the manual.

It sounds like you would have to purchase an HD Radio tuner (I'm not familiar with that model, but looking at Pioneer's web page, it doesn't look built in).

I couldn't find anything on the Pioneer website either (when it's up)

It would seem that since even the low end radios can do it, the the Pioneer AVIC-N series should be capable it.

Look in the manual for the term "RDS".

Got the word back from customer support at Pioneer..bummer!
