Hello,

I purchased the newer 2006 maps DVD's for my Avic-D1. I would like to revert back to my original DVD set, but when I put the DVD's in, the Avic tells me to insert the proper disks.

Is it possible to force a firmware downgrade on the Pioneer Avic-D1?

Thanks.

why would you pay the money for the new maps and want to revert back to the old ones?  I have come to find out that here is southern cal the maps are wrong 2/10 times.  when used very frequently it can get annoying?  Where did you get the new nav disc's and what version do they say?

The maps in my area are even worse than the previous version. Only the main roads are now routable, all side streets are not routable, whereas they were before. (in my area ... I don't know about the rest of the continent)

I just want to go back to the old maps, but it won't let me saying the discs are not the proper discs.
