Hi,
I own a 92 civic si hatchback and I just purchased a dvd player (without a screen) and 2 sunvisor 8 inch monitors.
I was told it would cost 200$ to have it professional installed so i want to try it myself. I am usually very good at following instructions and I am pretty competent with wiring and electronics but i have never touched any car wiring.
I think the hardest part would be knowing which interior panels to remove and how to do it so that i dont break anything and can get access to the wires. I already have a deck installed so im guessing i just have to take that out and basically hook up the wires to the dvd player so taht shouldnt be too hard. The hardest part seems to be getting the wires from the sunvisors to go to the dvd player.
which panels do i have to remove and how can i run the wires from the sunvisor to the dvd player without them being visible? how do i remove them? are they easy to remove?
is it recommended for an amateur to try this?
any help is appreciated.
thanks.

No offense, but it sounds to me like you either need to spend the $200 or get some help from someone who has done this before.  Don't just tear into it without knowing what you're doing or it might cost a lot more than $200 to fix it later.

thanks for the input, but i trust myself enough not to screw anything up and i know when to give up. So if i feel overwhelmed, i'll stop what i'm doing and take it to a shop.
I managed to install the dvd player with relative ease. And i attached the sunvisor and took for my A-pillars to be able to run the wire from the suvisors down.
Any ideas on where i can run the wire so that it is hidden and comes to the back of the deck?
thanks
