I have read posts here carefully (I think) and during daylight have a successful installation of OEM Gentex 261, using pins 5 & 6 for temp, pin 8 for ground, and pin 13 for 12+. (It is installed in 2007 Chevy Silvarado which had the 16 pin connector above headliner.  With drop in ambiant light, the mirror dims just fine, and the temp and compass display, air bag, and green LED also dim as expected, BUT the temperature drops, during recent temps of 45, to say 28.

Anybody know what I have done wrong?

In previous post,I said that I had the temp wired thru pins 5 & 6 and that is WRONG, I should have used 6 & 7!  Having posted here ended up getting me to look at what I did, and NOW, using 6 & 7 for the temp it WORKS!

Guess this is one way to fix your mistakes.
