Ok, guys, unfortunately i purchased this total waste of money before finding this site to read about it.It is indeed a total waste of $$$.Mine worked decent for approx 1 week, then would only read about 40% Factory store bought Movies.Funny thing is it always would load home burnt Mvids. Then my son lost the remote,so ordered a new one from them.came fast, couple days from (Mass) i believe it was, would have gone without but couldn,t adjust time/balance/bass/loud,anything.Replacement remote was $35 US shipped.by the time the remote arrived,2 days, my Fav Mvid-DVD was now stuck inside this peice of trash and would not eject,as many times as i've pressed eject, and tried to load another DVD ect,its still in there and its not comming out. Also this unit throws tremendous heat, make sure on install that nothing blocks the small 1.5Inch fan hole, even with mine clear of obstructions, after a 20 min Movie viewing,it started breaking up,freezing.Eject the DVD to find it too hot to touch your face without leaving burn marks. My guess is my DVD inside has melted or warp enough to prevent it from Ejecting.

Soon as my replacement gets here today(INNOVATEK-DVD-868TS) i'll be haulin this trash back to walmart where it belongs.Hope this post saves some others time and Money spent on a better product.email with any questions, be glad to answer them. gutterboy2ca@yahoo.ca  Best of Luck.Soon to Follow, install post and Preview of the above mentioned in-dash DVD player.

I hate to be that guy, but you get what you pay for. Everyone wants to be a "baller" with their screens in their cars, but nobody wants to pay for it. No offense to you in anyway, this is just a generalization, but it really frustrates me when you show someone a decent in dash DVD for less the $700 and they get all wized about the price because they can just go to walmart and get one for $300. There is a reasone they are cheap units. Cheap parts.

True but sometimes you do get lucky and get some decent Qual products that run forever trouble free.I'm never one to buy name brand, and yes, radio shacks lowest one was $699,if they want some of my $$$ they better get some competitive products in the normal consumers price range and quit being so darn Greedy.I'll still buy 2 or 3 cheap A@@ players and try my luck with them before shelling out almost a Gran for something for my kid to watch a movie on while i Drive, just my 2 cents worth and bet i'm not alone. If money was no object then it would be a diff story,heh.....

I have to agree with mobile, why not save a little longer and then get a decent(brand name) deck. For anything else I hate brand names but car audio/sec/remote starters you need to stick with reputable names. and do not even get me started on dual, where I work sells them but I tell ever customer who asks that they are garbage and should buy a better quality one. I don;t know about you but I would rather shell out the money and get good quality deck for the $550 - $1000 range vs shelling out $300 odd dollars and having to deal with the headaches of poor quality units. then again it is just my two cents.

Well I kinda agree I installed a sounstream vir-7860 h.u a boss 1500d 2xkicker cvr 1ohm load in a prefab ported box and this honda was wanging(hitting hard) for the price $1200 bucks, but for me I always try to go name brand, but not everybody can afford name brand so they gotta try their luck at cheaper stuff sometimes you get lucky and find a reliable cheap brand if you can't wait 2 save a little more, anyways good luck 2 all you bargin hunters!!!!
well?

Just an Update on the Walmart XDVD-700 indash, for those interested to know,Walmart onlly offers 15 days return on this item.i had mine for 21 days before my new unit came.Pulled the unit out and packaged it up to return,to my surprise they would not accept it.The cash register spit out a receipt saying non-returnable,please contact Vendor. After fighting with the store manager for 15 mins and him examining the unit,he said its because it plays MP3's and is considered an MP3 player.I Quickly said so do all the TV,s up there with built in DVD players,so they only have 15 days warranty?(He punched in a Bypass code and refunded the entire amount)mumbling something about the store now being stuck with it...OH well, i learned something i guess...

Also about the walmart thing it just depends on which walmart you go to and who you speak to. They tried pullin that crap on me, trying to tell me it was out of warranty and that because i didnt have a reciept and the wires had been cut there nothin they could do, BS. So i told them i wanted to speak to the manager of the store, talked to him for about 5 mins, he pull up my reciept from my bank transactions, and he gave me my money back. Forget the pee-ons and go for the head honcho

I decided to comprimise. There's no way I was going to buy Dual but I didn't want to spend all the cash on top end stuff. I ended up scanning CraigsList for a month or two and found a guy that had been laid off selling a Kenwood DDX 6019, 4 Kenwood headrest monitors, the tv tuner, Sirius tuner, and Kenwood camera for $1250. I told him I'd give him $1000 cash. SOLD! :) Now I'll probably be selling off the headrest monitors to make some of the cash back and using the rest of it.
