I need help with modifying my front speaker wire harness to replace the stock amplified speaker with an aftermarket speaker.  My speaker wires for the left side are:
               Truck                                   Speaker
               1 = green                         1 = blue
                2 = purple                        2 = green
                3 = yellow/red                 3 = yellow
                4 = brown/red                 4 = brown
                 5 = black/red                  5 = purple
                 6 = yellow/black             6 = orange

I can not find any wire diagrams that match my stock wiring harness to tell what which wires are for the front left +/-, rear left +/- and I assume that one of these is a 12v and ground for the amp on the stock speaker.

I assume that I will have to splice the speaker wires and cap the 12v wire?

I am going to an aftermarket setup.

I assume that the black puck on the stock speaker is the amp.  The six speaker wires go into the amp and a red and black wire come out and connect to the speaker.

How do I by-pass the speaker amp?  I assume that when I install an aftermarket speaker that I would remove the amp with the factory speaker.
