avital 4103 remote starter wont start

I bought a used car (2007 saturn ion) with an avital 4103 installed. I cant get the unit to start. I fount the brain and bought a valet switch. As far as i can tell there is no D2D installed. It also looks like they bypassed the hoodpin switch. When i try to start the car using the remote the dash will light up, things will click and lights will flash but the car wont start. It wont start if i have the key set to on in the ignition. Every time i try the starter, I am unable to start the car with the key for about 5-10 min (i haven't really timed it). I have tried to reprogram the remote using the valet switch, but it didn't seem to do anything (no chirps or honks when i tried). I did get the shutdown diagnosis to work and it flashed 3 times. according to the manual: "Low or no RPM, Low battery (for voltage & virtual tach modes)" I searched a bit, but haven't been able to find exactly what this means and how to fix it. With the car not starting for 10 mins after a remote start attempt. I would say your bypass module isn't working.   There should be another module someplace under the drivers dash. Try and find out what was used.If i Can't Install it    I Don't need it   Joe

Ill have to check again in the morning when there is more light, but i really didnt see anything that looked like it was connected to the brain. I followed most of the connections that i could get too. Could it be installed closer to the cars ignition?
