line out converter on bose system

i need to know what kinda of line out converter i need to run and amp on with my stock face??? can i just use an ordinary line out converter or do i need a special one??

a regular one will work, you need to hook it up after the amp and you need one that handle a decent amount of power,     depending on the car though some bose systems are a pain

You probobly need a special one because of the so called Bose eq on the speakers. You usually find special line convertors for your vehicle that bypass the bose eq.

well i talked to some people with my car and they said they just used a regular one but i kinda wanted to get one made for the bose system just to make sure, where might i find one??

thanks for the link but let im really anxious to get this installed is there any harm in going to my local car audio installer and buying a normal line out converter and trying it out??

No harm in trying, it will most like degrade the sound quality that's all or it may not work at all because of the low level outputs of the OEM deck.

well i might go try that then, i actually ordered this one http://www.valcoelectronics.com/caudio/lineout.htm the FAI2 model but its on backorder for a week but im so anxious to put it in. This guy with the same car as mine said i should be fine if i buy a normal line out converter that has adjustable gains on it.

ask for a PIE differential converter, they are designed to work with Bose and non-Bose systems....
