Well, FINALLY finished this stupid thing today. Resistor didn't help at all, but it's there now anyway. Turns out the Remote start I was using just won't operate right in this truck under Smart Start (tachless) mode. I ran the line to the coil, switched it over, and bingo. The only thing that doesn't work right, is the parking lights, but he didn't care about that in the first place. The only other thing I ran into, was that the wiring list I had, I couldn't find both accessory wires. I located the main power feed for the HVAC controls and wipers and such, but the radio won't run at all until the key is in it. Then again, if there's no one in the truck, who's listening? Thanks again to everyone who helped me out! I owe ya guys!
I had bad credit. Anyone have any they can loan me? lol

ya, i just did a 2003 ram, and i couldn't get the parking lights to work either.  I used the negative resitor based relay , with a 340ohm resistor. (thats what autostart suggested), and it dosn't work.  on monday i get the truck back, and i will find the parking lights where they turn into a positive signal after a relay in the truck.

I think some of my techs have been finding the parking lights under the hood, heading to the parking lights themselves, and using it as a + connection.

This Is A Single Wire System. Parking Lights Need To See A Ground (-) Through A 1.4 K-Ohm Resistor. Headlights Need To See A Ground (-) Through A 1.8 K-Ohm Resistor.

also, the parklight wire rests at ground, so you need to wire it to interupt the line when the RS is pulsing the lights

On late model Rams you can also get positive lights under the hood...it's a BLACK / YELLOW wire under the fuse/relay center. Easiest way to get to it is to take out the driver's side headlight(I think it's just 3 bolts).
