Ok,
Just to update, I went completely through the system and checked all of the wiring.
It all seems fine. Although, I did find these faults:
When using Cliff Wizard, I hit the “one chirp” the siren does nothing.
Since this siren has a battery backup, I set off the alarm; disconnect the main battery, and the siren fades out right away.
So, am I to conclude that the siren is bad?

the chirps will stop if the internal battery dies, it is supposed to do that to alert you of the problem, which is exactly what yours did.  I have seen it several times, some quicker then others.  Time for a new siren.

I have found this to be a problem especially when the sirne is mounted high in the engien compartment or close to the radiator. I'm guessing the heat kills of the battery faster than it should die normally. Since the SSPS4 only charges when the key is on, it should last quite soemtime. You can take the siren apart and replace the batteries yourself. There are only 6 (i think) AA size batteries wired in series. Simply solder in soem new ones and tape/zip-tie the pack to gether and re assemble the siren.
