the extra siren can cause permanent damage to the ears, and the led scanner because only emergency vehicles can have this type of moving light.  They can be installed but must not be visable from the outside.  Crazy laws.  Tinted windows are not allowed either, but everyone does it.  You are usually safe until a cop is in a bad mood, and desides he want to make a name for himself. In Sydney car stereo are not supposed to be heard outside after 10Pm at night.

Oh you can have a back up siren under the hood, but inside the car they are illergal? I guess that isnt so bad. ARe Tinted windows illegal completely? In the US you can tint the back windows as dark as you want since technically you dont even need to have windows in the back of your car like cargo vans, and then for the front windows you can tint them to a certian degree, then it becomes illegal.

No all tint is illegal, Unless the vehicle came from the factory equiped with it.  people Drivering behind you vihicle must be able to see through yours.  I have the darkest tint on my nissan sentra and have had no problem yet, but my friend had his mustang taken off the road, and he had to pay for the tint to be removed.  If a car alarm  goes off and police are dispatched to a false alarm, the registered owner may have to pay for the 911 service.  They are copying off the far east.  This is the law in Hong Kong to. To many false car alarms going off.

Police do not respond to car alarms where I am from.
When you say people behind you need to be able to see through your windows, Are semi-trucks illegal since you cant see through them. What about Cargo Vans with no windows? What about when you are bringing balloons to your nephews birthday party and no one can see through your car due to the balloons? That doesnt make sense. I bet those cops can go off on even bigger power trips than in the US
Anyway, good luck with that scanner.

oh yah they think there gods.  Anyway about the scanner I found a installer who will do it on his own, but he will not be responsble for it.  He will only do a ignition conection though, does not want to hook it to the alarm  $30 cdn.  I can not be bother screwing around with it anymore.  Besides he is going to `program a 471t remote for me, there is no valet/program swith on mine, so he will have to do it.  Thanx for your help!!!!
