Hello, I am hoping someone can help me.  I have a 2000 Hyundai with a Checkmate alarm system,, FCC ID # JT3KT7A.  I shut the system off about five years ago and haven't used it since.  When trying to jump start my battery today, I accidentally turned the system on.  The problem is it's been so long since I used it, I can't remember how to shut the system off again.  Obviously, it operates through the ignition but I don't know any more than that.  We have only one fob that works so I want to turn the system off as soon as possible.  I can't get any information or manuals on Checkmate on the Web; can someone please tell me how to shut this system off?  Thank you!

you MAY be able to put it into a valet mode. can you find a programming push button under the dash.

valet procedures differ from company to company but turn IGN on and hold the button. see if that does anything

Have you ever seen an Acura with them butterfly doors???

Thanks to everyone; I decided it was easier to just remove the system since I wasn't using it anymore anyway. Personally, I think Checkmate was a lousy system; no wonder they're out of business.
