They should be connected to only the amp. There is a real good chance you need a new output chip in the radio, and could have possibly taken the amp out as well. Disconnect the speaker wires from the amp and insulate the ends so they do not touch anything. Turn your radio on and see if it has output. If so consider yourself the luckiest person alive. If it does not have output, cut the speaker wires from the radio harness, insulate the ends that go to the radio. (I guess that is probably not necessary since that would only protect the output chip, but not a bad habit to get into)   Connect the speaker wires back to the amp and do whatever has to be done to connect those wires to the speakers. Turn it on and try it again. It will probably becheaper to get the amp repaired than the radio. The output chip for that deck will cost you about 50 dollars. That is just the price of the part. If the amp does not work I can possibly help you repair it.

i tried the 4 channel amp to power the subs and it worked.  i disconnected all the speakers and tried connecting each one by itself and checking to see if any sound came out and there was nothing.  so maybe it's the output chip. so i should try to connect the speakers to the 4 channel amp and then just run the rcas from the deck to the amp and see if anything works?  please reply , it would help me out a lot. thanks.

Yes, connect the RCA cables to the amp and also connect the speakers to the amp.

ensure there is no loose connections in the wire, also use speaker negative to the speaker from the head set.

Do not connect any speaker wire from the amp to the radio. That is how we got here.
