Yes pictures could help.  On the top of the board, you should be able to see a silk screened image of the traces on the bottom of the board.  Follow the traces from the Subsonic potentiometer, they should lead to one of the Op amps on the circuit board.  An 8 pin or 14 pin chip.  there should be several of them in the area near the controls.  Make sure to put your camera in Macro Focus Mode.  The symbol to enter that mode is a flower.  It will allow your camera to focus in an extreme close up situation.  I need pictures of that op amp and surrounding components.  If you can read the numbers off of the chiclet shaped capacitors, I will need that info too.

I JUST missed an alpine mrp m1000 on ebay. went for 175 shipped. brand new, just missing the owners manual. but i think I'm gonna save a couple weeks cus the mrp m100s are sellin for $230 on ebay. good deal?
