A local installer installed a Viper 5901 in my 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel.
It works perfectly except that the remote start triggers the factory alarm for a second or two (horn). We think it's a timing issue between the factory disarm signal and the remote start signal.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I believe that's what the installer did.
He called DEI. They told him to send the disarm signal to the door unlock. This disarms the OEM alarm faster. That works (factory alarm not triggered during remote start) but now the doors are unlocked during the 15 sec diesel wait-to-start. They are relocked after it starts. During this 15 seconds, if I open the door, the viper alarm does NOT go off. This worries me. What gives?
