95 oldsmobile 88

I have a friend with a 95 olds 88 thats been driving around for a few days with the park brake alert constantly going off...I told him to check for a break in the wire at the switch but he says the wire looks fine... can anyone tell me where the noise making dingers are located in these cars? hes a couple hours away from me, but wants to drive to me so I can take a look at the issue...but he wants to disconnect the dinger for the drive, as its fairly annoying...lol, he doesnt drive the car for more than ten minutes at a time because of this... thanks in advance!

I have never seen a dedicated park brake warning on any GM vehicle of that era, are you sure he is not low on brake fluid?

Mr. I's answer seems right, the other (remote) possibility is a loose parking bright warning light switch. Had that once on a Euro GM car.

the multifunction chime module is located to the right of the steering column support. it will sound if the brake fluid is low. the wiring diagram also shows that it will sound if the windshield washer fluid is low, if he has the reminder package. so your friend may want to check that too.This information is provided only as a reference.

All circuits should be verified with a digital multi-meter prior to making any connections.

A GM product low on washer fluid, how could that happen?  Oh wait, I remember, they all break and leak fluid.
