ultra start u1272 tach lock out

I have an '03 Impala with an Ultra Start U1272 installed in it less than a month ago. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a situation for me. Up until now, I have had very good luck with the remote start. I am impressed with the distance and the functionality. However, today we got our first big snow storm of the year. I chuckled at my friends because they were complaining about scraping their windows, and I knew that my remote start would heat up my car enough to be able to wipe the snow and ice away. I pushed the start button, waited about 10 minutes and went outside. My car was not running. I pushed start button and again the car would not start but the lights flashed 7 times. According the installation and owners manual, this is a "tach lock-out". I tried looking it up on the internet and there's no information. What should I do?

I install a lot of Ultra Start 1272's.  It it unusual for them to lose the tach learn.  I would double check my Tach wire connection.  In the engine compartment all remote start wires shold be well soldered and insulated.  Check for wire chaffing and interferrence along the run.  Also, following smokeman1's excellent suggestion, check all your wiring connections for the Passlock2 bypass.  I always go W2W and solder everything.Soldering is fun!
