I have installed an audiovox remote start unit in my 2003 dakota with the 4.7, I have a decent tach signal coming out but the device will not successfully learn the tach signal so I can move on to actually using the remote start to finish testing the install. Has anyone else run into this and have any suggestions?

where did you connect your tach wire? you should connected to the wire of one of the ignition coils that is not GREEN/ orange. have you measured the voltage from the tach wire? you should have about 5-8 volts AC when running and 0 VAC when the truck is off. if your having trouble with tach signal programming you can try programming it for voltage sense.
