94 mercedes c280

Hello all, I have a guy that wants me to install an alarm/remote start and a cd player in his 94 mercedes c280. I've heard that they are very hard to put remote starts on. Is there anything special that I need to know before I jump on this? Also, it's been impossible for me to find a head unit wiring harness for this car. Will I need to just solder extensions from the wires on the factory harness or is there another way. I really do not want to cut the factory harness off, but I'm sure it will be difficult to solder that close to the dash. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
