What would be the best way to install a starter interrupt on a 2010 Lincoln Town Car.  The customer wants to deactivate the starter interrupt by pulling up on the turn signal stalk.

Thanks, where would I find the signal from the turn signal stalk?

The connector at the switch??

What are you looking for, hi-beams, or turn signal.  I'm not sure what you mean by, "pull up on the handle"

This does seem a long way round, surely the factory immobiliser does the job, using the indicator stalk is going to give electronic grief.

This customer had this feature installed on a previous Town Car by the dealership.  No one at the dealership remembers where they got the component that they used to make this happen.  Bottom line - the customer is familiar with this feature and would like the same thing installed on his new Town Car.  So, I was thinking I could cut the starter wire, install a simple starter interrupt (like the diagrams on this web site suggest) and trigger it using whatever signal I get when I lift the turn signal lever.

One of my concerns is whether the immobiliser would be an issue.  I think it would not but I'm not certain.

Any thoughts?

jim
