I know these miriors have been gone over a number of times, but each time I get one, it seems to be different.

This is a Gentex 261/015322 It has Auto dim, Onstar, Compass, and I guess Temp as it was connected to a probe. I'm guessing you switch the display back and forth to read the temp display.
All of the 16 pin out diagrams I've seen are different than this one.
Mine are as follows.
1-
2-Bare (Mic)?
3-Yellow (Temp sensor)
4-ORANGE / Black
5-Grey (Big) wrapped with the bare (Mic)?
6-
7-
8-BLACK/ White (Negative)?
9-Lite Green (Reverse)?
10-Grey
11-Dark GREEN / WHITE (Green LED)?
12-GREEN/ Black (Temp Sensor)
13-Brown (Positive)?
14-Yellow/Black
15-BROWN / White (Red LED)
16-Pink
I'm pretty sure pin's 3 and 12 are the temp sensor as it's from the same Cadillac and the wire colors match unless they changed the colors somewhere in the body.
When I hook up the wires i believe are the positive and negative, the Comp display shows the heading and the mirior dimming function works, but even with the temp probe connected, I can't get it to switch over to the temp display. Don't know if maybe the Brown is the negative or if the Black white is the negative. Should I flip them and retest? Or do I need more wires to connect up to get the other buttons to work?
Onstar does nothing, and I'm guessing I need to connect them to an Onstar box for that to work.
Any help would be GREAT!!!

I dont know why my temp pins were in the wrong place. I moved them to 6 & 7 and it still didn't switch to the temp display. It's possible this mirrior doesn't have temp even though it came with the probe on the Cadillac. Mirrior works fine otherwise.
Got another gntx-261 coming today in the mail with temp and compass. Hopefully that one works fine. I only paid $14 for the one above at the u-pull it lot. No biggie. It's still worth the cash.

did you ever figure this one out? I have the same exact mirror with the same wire colors in the connectors, wondering the exact same thing...
