I'm having trouble finding an illumination wire for my head unit. It shows that it needs 12v to dim the display. I had it wired to the positive (+) dimmer wire but the display would flash between dim and bright. After I metered the wire it is only about 10v and I can't dim the gauges any or the head unit goes bright. Any wiring ideas to fix the display and still be able to dim my gauges?
