i used to sell audiovox, poor quality, terrible range, programming that is irritating, tiny buttons, cheap remotes,   there remote starts work ok, alarms come back quite often, at least they did 3 years ago... The name says it all,  who would want a CD Player made by Audiovox.. thats what i thought....

DEI will not force you to buy anything youdont want to, you might have had a bad rep.. should have called his supervisor

old timer dealers are stuck on principal, so, DEI has to clean house.. no room for whiners and complainers

Dei does push it's programs like RSVP, that's the latest one, but there product is solid, as well I sell their product.  I also sell the compustar, and between the two products I have no doubt the compustar is the route I would go. 

As far as Audiovox and their H/U... ya I wouldn't put one of their cd players in my car, but their video is phenominal, and actually is better then DEI's.  Do a side by side.  One cool fact though on the DEI video is that you can remove it, and for installers, can actually program an ESP alarm with visual confirmation on their screens.
