Yah, what he said! Although I've never noticed a noticable difference in resistance by switching leads on my meter.

use Pl2002a from autostart, very reliable sold by automobility

Make sure you use the PL2002A, the old PL2002 doesn't measure as high of a resistance for brand new Chevrolet vehicles, they don't work. But Automobility does make good bypasses, very reliable product, few flaws but good overall.
