Ok Well here is the situation I am looking into getting 2 12" Audiobahn Immortal Subs, with the 4- 2 ohm set-up my question is how or is it possible to wire it up to get a 1-ohm load and this is just one sub not both wired together to get a 1-ohm load. Also I would appreciate any input on these subs or other ways of wiring

im suggesting you do not go near audiobahn.  Some will say they are the best, but everyone else will say they suck.

How much you are going to spend on subs and amp and we all here will fit you with a system that'll be good.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

What kind of sound are you looking for? Are you competing? Also what kind of music do you listen to?

I listen to primarily Rap and rock, I am not looking into competing but it's not been completley ruled out, I am looking for a good mix of SPL and SQ and I'm open to any and all suggestions

Adires Shiva- http://adireaudio.com/mobile_audio/drivers/shiva.htm

Elemental Designs e12k : http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep2/12k.htm

Both these will give you good spl and SQ- more on the SQ side, but they are good subs.  I would make a ported box for them- slot port

Then for amp JBL 1200.1 would do right.  Total would bring you below your spending range if you shop wisely i believe.

The only thing that Audiobahn products would be good for is a show-car that would never be started or sound system never used.Audiobahn Immortal Series -- posted image.

A friend of mine who buys and resells, bought a container of Audiobahn products and while he did make his money back, we tested some and blew at least 8 of the high excursions(I think that was the model) in everyones cars. And one of the amps started on fire inside. It kept on playing while his car started filling up with smoke on the freeway!Audiobahn Immortal Series -- posted image. I have a halon fire extinguisher in my car but he has a regular one that made a huge mess of his previously beautiful trunk. He just had to do a lot of vacuuming and carpet dying. I highly recommend a halon extinguisher to anyone who is into "safety" and doesn't want to make a mess of your car. Halon's starve the surrounding air of oxygen so the fire can't burn.

Maxst made some good suggestions, but i would look into some Eclipse Aluminums http://www.eclipse-web.com/products/speaker/index.html they will give you some amazing spl as well as excellent sq. I would also suggest powering them with a JBL 1200.1. You should be able to get the whole setup for around $800

Go with bberman I have one eclipse aluminum 15 running off the alpine mrd-m500. It hits all the lows lower than any system around and still sounds extreamly clean. Hope that helps you out

Dont ever go near Audiobahn. Total trash unless you want to use it as a seat warmer or to hold open your hood while you work in your car. They might play loud but they suck at doing it and they dont sound good either even at low volumes. All audiobahn wants to do is attract young people(under 20 with no experience who are regular best buy/circuit city shoppers) to buy their products. It works because none of them know that looks dont make it sound good. STAY away from audiobahn. I would rather buy Aiwa products and that is saying somethin.
