Anyone know of any on-line forums that cater to those of us with Pioneer electronics? I have a couple questions about my headunit.

My question is that I want to know if it is possible to keep the display on my  DEH-P6500 from reversing itself. It starts out with a black backgroind and white lettering and graphics, then reverses after 15 or so seconds. I could swear I saw the same unit at the store and it never changed the entire time I stood there and watched it. I cant find anything in the manual that expains how to do this, but then agian I found the manual not to be too informative.

Thanks for any help.

turn the deck off by holding the source button, then hold down the function button. That will take you to a menu with a demo option. Turn the demo option off and the deck will no longer flip flop on you. I think thats how you do it at least but its been a little while since I have done it.

OK, I figured it out. You were almost right Ravendarat. Pioneer Forums -- posted image. I had to turn the unit off by pressing the source button. Then hitting the number 5 station preset button turns reverse mode off then on. Hitting 6 turns demo mode on and off. Pressing the function button allows you to set the time, aux input, motion mode and a few other things I forgot.

Agian, thanks for everyones help.

I have another question about the Pioneer DEPH4000.  Should I hook my amp up to the blue wire or the blue/white wire.  Also what is the gold wire for coming from the back of the pioneer harness.
