hi i got alpine cva 1004 i wanna by pass the brake safety to watch the monitor any help

the way to bypass it is to install a rocker switch that simulates the actions of the e-brake.

I did mine using one of those hood switches for alarms. You hook the outer part to ground, the end tab to the stereo parking brake lead, and the foot brake lead to the foot brake. Then just hit the brake and press the button tiwce, and you have video. Email me for any questions. I also saw a electronic video bypass on ebay.

just connect the yellow/blue wire to ground...

paring brake- to revese wire this acts just like a parking brake but you passs revese everytime you go into drive its its automatc.

leave your foot brake connected to that as you need to hit this to shift gears in an auto matic onece you release the brake after shifting past revese your video wil turn on .

works on the ivad300 ad 801 dont know ablut older model but it should.
